Frühjahrssymposium 2026 – Colourful Chemistry
10th March–13th March 2026
10th March–13th March 2026
Immerse yourself in the colourful world of chemistry at our 2026 Spring Symposium. We are thrilled to host you in the vibrant city of Cologne for one of Europe's largest scientific conferences for young scientists. This symposium is proudly presented by the JungesChemieForum (JCF) of the German Chemical Society (GDCh e.V.).
Under the theme “Colourful Chemistry”, we will explore cutting-edge chemical research covering diverse fields of chemistry. Prepare for insightful discussions, interesting talks by professors and PhD students, as well as valuable networking opportunities.
Chemistry is colourful and diverse—just like Cologne and its carnival. Both thrive on variety, creativity and the joy of discovering something unexpected. During carnival, Cologne transforms into a sea of colours, music, and laughter, where everyone, regardless of background, comes together to celebrate life and community. It is a time when hierarchy and routine give way to imagination and equality—when scientists, students, and citizens alike can all be jesters for a few days.
